Sasga Yachts are built in a state of the art shipyard on Menorca. They manufacture the Sasga 34, 42, 54 and 68 using a resin infused process creating a lighter but stronger hull with less waste.

Visit the official Sasga site for more information on the history of these state of the art motor yachts.

All Sasga models have been awarded RCD Category A status making them one of the safest motor yachts on the market. Other design features include the incredibly economical Inigo Toledo designed hull, crash bulkheads, wide side-decks, excellent build quality and an element of customisation.

A trio of experienced New Zealand yachties / business people are behind importing these launches into New Zealand:

ERNEST HENSHAW
Ernest combines the best of both world’s: business and boating. He has over 50 years extensive international business experience, perhaps most notably being the Founder of the highly successful Click Clack International Ltd, as well as the Christchurch Cancer Foundation.

But much more than this Ernest is a seasoned yachtsman from Canterbury. His experience ranges from owning both yachts and launches in the Marlborough Sounds to extensive cruising in Europe onboard his Swan 53. It was during this time that he was inspired to bring the Sasga Menorquins to New Zealand.

After witnessing a Menorquin 56 performing in gale conditions, he had the opportunity to go aboard later that day. A close inspection of the build quality and interior layout reinforced his initial impressions. “This is the sort of boat for someone who appreciates and understands good boat design and construction. It is the only launch that I know of that has similar sea keeping abilities to a keel boat.”

BRUCE MCGILL
Well known NZ marine industry veteran Bruce McGill brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing motor yachts in Australasia.  "The Sasga Yachts Menorquin’s semi displacement hull design allows them to glide through the water efficiently with engines half the horsepower of similar sized production mono hulls."

CHRISTINE BIRD
Chrisy is passionate about boats – her life both professionally and privately has revolved around yachting in some form since the 80s when she was running a charter company in Picton. From there, Chrisy embraced an ambitious plan that turned into an epic 17-year world circumnavigation sailing aboard her own yacht. She has spent many years working in yacht sales in both Turkey and Spain, as well as NZ.

Chrisy is committed to providing personalised quality service to you as a Buyer. Her knowledge, honesty, professionalism and integrity ensures she is a respected member of the marine industry, and with her by your side your boat buying experience will be seamless and enjoyable.

She has first-hand knowledge of the Menorquins having seen many and sold them whilst living in Mallorca. “I love these boats. They are incredibly seaworthy in any weather and sea conditions, and their build quality is exceptional. I think they will be ideal for our marine environment and can’t wait to show them to New Zealanders.”
